On Saturday, October 5, 2013, The Librery Art will open from 3 – 7 p.m. at W/17, La Fuerza Compound, 2241 Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City.
“Works of art transcend time, as we are able to appreciate great masters and contemporary geniuses in the same light. The Librery Art Show dares to go a step further, focusing on the innovators of tomorrow. Organized by students, the event showcases their artwork for the benefit of Librery, a non-profit foundation that aims to provide books for underprivileged youth.

The pieces range from the surreal to simple portraits of everyday life, all coming together to present a creative and vibrant view of the world of youth. The exhibit highlights the talent of promising young artists as well as addresses the problem of inadequate educational materials, all through a delightful afternoon of art and friendship”.
We take for granted the basics of food, water, and a
proper education. Our aim is to bridge the two polar environments of those living in the sheltered walls and those struggling to secure basic needs. Using our resources, we try to tackle the great issue of unequaleducational opportunities. We decided to showcase visual arts because it is an area that we believe has not been appropriately recognized within our community but possess plethora of great talent. Eleven ISM students collaborated to produce twenty art pieces to be displayed and sold with all proceeds going to ‘The Librery Foundation’.
