Our ISM bearcats brought the heat (and the art) to IASAS Cultural Convention 2025, leaving a trail of creativity across Asia.
Dance, Drama, and Tech traveled to Singapore American School (SAS), where ISM’s dancers woke up the stage with Wake Up, a dynamic piece that had the audience on their feet. Drama turned up the intensity with Red, delivering a performance that was anything but one-dimensional. Meanwhile, our tech crew worked their magic behind the scenes, making it all shine. Between performances, delegates leveled up their skills in workshops with the industry pros and participated in exciting activities across the three-day convention.
Our musicians hit all the right notes at ISB, delivering stunning solos and octet performances that captivated the audience.
Over in Taiwan, ISM’s wordsmiths and debaters took on three rounds of intense competition at Taipei American School, bringing their A-game in oral interpretation, extemp, oratory, and impromptu. The delegates brought home six awards: our debate A team, impromptu, and original oratory, earned bronze medals and a silver on oral interpretation, proving that when it comes to making a point, we don’t just talk the talk!
Although not part of IASAS CulCon, ISM’s FRC robotics team also brought home silver from their tournament—because who says we can’t dominate both the arts and STEM?
With talent, teamwork, and a touch of ISM spirit, this year’s IASAS CulCon was one for the books. Congratulations to all our delegates!
