We know we’ve studied too much English when we starting to relate our lives to a narrative plot line- but we just couldn’t help ourselves. Sometimes, our emotions are best explained by the very things that cause us so much anxiety. From rising action to denouement; it’s like the story of our lives.
1. Exposition: THE BACKDROP

You start off quite naive; yeah, you have a lot of time to get this done. The procrastination kicks in: Why not watch The Hunger Games?

2. Rising Action: THE PANIC
It’s been five minutes, and you’re still staring at your iProcrastinate, unable to come to terms with your impending doom

You start having freakout study session groups

3. The Climax: THE PEAK OF STRESS
You become numb to all external forces of emotion

You find yourself snacking at every opportune moment

Coffee is your closest (if not your only) friend

Your music playlists fill up with all favorite your comfort songs

Instead of feeling relieved after each test you become increasingly anxious for the four other assessments you have that week

4. Denouement: THE DETERIORATION
Initially you start worrying about your test scores

But then you realize that, regardless of the scores, you’re just happy all your assessments are over.

And then all your productivity and levels of concern start to decrease… fast

5. Resolution
Finally the weekend comes and you take a well deserved break (and catch up on all your sleep)
