The Manila World University Fair took place on September 27th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. across both ISM and the British School Manila (BSM).
Over 110 different universities participated, providing students and parents a wide range of institutions to discover and explore. With early university deadlines, such as early action, early decision, and UCAS fast approaching, the fair was integral for seniors to explore potential universities in greater depth.
The fair was divided into two main parts. Following the opening ceremony from 9 to 9:40 a.m., breakout sessions were conducted by official university representatives. Topics included financial aid in the U.S., medical study pathways, applying for a Canadian visa, and other relevant subjects. Each session lasted 40 minutes and addressed specific areas of student interest.
After the sessions, parents and students toured the university booths set up in the ES Gym to speak directly with college representatives and attend additional presentations.
“I attended the Purdue University booth, and it gave me perspective into the admissions process,” shared Asma (12).
This marks the second year ISM hosted the Manila World University Fair, and it was a major success for the university representatives, parents, and students alike.
