Neurodiversity Week, held at ISM from November 11 to 15, celebrates diverse minds and ways of thinking. This weeklong event aims to foster inclusivity and understanding for those who are neurodivergent, along with celebrating the uniqueness of everyone.

A central highlight is the Kapwa Art Show, an inspiring exhibit that showcases artwork created by neurodivergent artists. Through their creations, these artists offer unique perspectives that embody the beauty of cognitive diversity and creativity. The show celebrates their talents and encourages viewers to appreciate the richness that neurodiversity brings to the community.

Students are encouraged to participate in themed free dress days throughout the week, each highlighting individuality and diversity. These days serve as a reminder of how everyone is unique and encourage students to express their differences proudly.

In addition to these activities, advisory sessions are dedicated to exploring and celebrating the different ways people think. These sessions provide an opportunity for students to learn about neurodiversity, discuss its importance, and develop empathy toward others’ experiences.

Neurodiversity Week is a significant step in fostering an inclusive environment that respects and values all individuals, encouraging everyone to embrace their differences and recognize the strengths that come from varied ways of thinking.
