With only 3 weeks until the winter holidays, the bustling Christmas spirit is starting to blanket the city of Manila. The reasons for giving to people in need just became a lot sweeter. Hence, the commencement of ISM’s annual Giving Tree. The Giving Tree’s purpose is to provide impoverished children with comfort, belonging, and curiosity for the world.

Donations are an easy way to free up storage in your home whilst doubling as a service to individuals in need. Examples of suitable things to give away are clothes, children’s books, and board games. But it’s even better if you have something educational. Moreover, these donations go to various ICARE service partners and their respective communities. Therefore, students who are going to provincial sites request donations for their site; this can further deepen the bond between our school and the diverse local communities.

As it is nearing the end of the year, it is the perfect time to give away any spare basic necessities and any fun but unused things in your household. You never know who may be in need of what you have – but the Giving Tree does!

Donations for the Giving Tree can be left on the tables near the MS office. All members of the ISM community are welcome to participate.
