On Thursday, September 18, ISM held the annual Battle of the Bearcats (BOB), where students from each grade level competed in sports, performance, and creative events. This year, the seniors dominated with a total of 39 spirit points to secure the overall win.
BOB is won by the grade that wins the most spirit points, which are awarded separately from earning gold, silver, and bronze in each event. This means that inclusivity, sportsmanship, passion, and engagement are what really matter on this unique day.
Tati, a member of the Batch of 2026, explained, “It’s about giving everyone an active role, a responsibility, a piece of the bigger picture.”
Seniors also earned gold in 21 events, such as So You Think You Can Dance, the Girls’ 100 Meter Dash, and Bearcat’s Got Talent. Their winning chant added three spirit points to the seniors’ total.
Juniors came in second with 21 spirit points, freshmen finished third with four, and sophomores placed fourth with three.
“Our seniors brought an incredible range of abilities to every challenge,” Tati added. “By leaning on one another and combining our skills, we were able to tackle projects and overcome obstacles in ways that no one could have done alone.”
After the sophomores’ victory last year, many were unsure which grade would come out on top. The results this year leave juniors, sophomores, and freshmen determined to show even more spirit during BOB 2026!
